Blockbuster Soundtrack 'Rock Of Ages' - Featuring Tom Cruise Belting Out Foreigner - Hits Billboard Top 200 At No 9 This Week
New York, NY (Top40 Charts/ GFE Management/ Foreigner Official Website) The star-studded feature film "Rock of Ages" hit theatres last week, with a rock and roll soundtrack dominated by iconic group Foreigner who's sales have sky rocketed as a result of the blockbuster film. Jumping onto the Billboard Top 200 at #9 this week, the "Rock of Ages" soundtrack features Foreigner hits "I Want To Know What Love Is," "Juke Box Hero" and "Waiting For A Girl Like You" - more songs than any other one band on the soundtrack - sung by stars Tom Cruise, Diego Boneta, and Julianne Hough.

Soundscan numbers report digital downloads of "Juke Box Hero" were up 400%, and the Foreigner catalog has outsold The Rolling Stones, The Eagles, Def Leppard, and Fleetwood Mac so far this year, proving the real star of "Rock of Ages" is the music.

Sold-out shows on a recent world tour demonstrate the band's formidable musical arsenal that continues to propel album sales, now exceeding 70 million. At Foreigner's core is founder Mick Jones, the visionary maestro whose stylistic songwriting, indelible guitar hooks and multi-layered talents continue to escalate Foreigner's influence more than 30 years into the game.

Foreigner's 'I Want To Know What Love Is' is a worldwide #1 hit and 'Waiting For A Girl Like You' is #49 in Billboard's chart of Greatest Pop Songs Of All Times. 'Juke Box Hero' is often considered to be the signature Foreigner song. NASCAR champion Tony Stewart recently presented Mick Jones with an RIAA Gold record for song which achieved the 500,000 sales mark in the digital age, thus proving its connection to a whole new generation of fans.
