NEW YORK (AOL press release) - Intimate Broadband Rocks Concert to be Broadcast Live from Santa Monica Airport's Barker Hangar on Sunday, July 11.
Fans Are Encouraged to Help Children in Africa Affected by HIV/AIDS by Donating to Keep a Child Alive Through an Interactive Campaign Featuring Josh.

As he prepares to head out on the second leg of his hugely popular North American tour, former AOL Breaker artist Josh Groban will perform a special live Broadband Rocks concert from the storied Barker Hanger at California's Santa Monica Airport. The free, ticketed event will be broadcast live exclusively for AOL(R) for Broadband members on Sunday, July 11, America Online, Inc., the world's leading Interactive services company, announced today. The live concert broadcast begins at 7:00pm PT (10:00pm ET) at AOL Keyword: Broadband Rocks.
"AOL has shown me such great support over the past couple of years, and I'm thrilled to have this opportunity to give my fans on AOL a first taste of the next phase of my tour," said Josh Groban.

The full video of the show will also be available on demand for 10 full days for AOL for Broadband members. One song from the concert will be available to AOL members on a narrowband connection, as well as to users of the Netscape, AOL Instant Messenger and CompuServe services. AOL for Broadband members can listen to the show in its entirety on commercial-free, CD-quality Radio@AOL for Broadband, while AOL's dial-up members can experience the complete audio version of the concert on Radio@AOL.
"Since Josh first appeared as a Breaker Artist on AOL in 2001, the response from our members has been mind-blowing," said Evan Harrison, Vice President and General Manager of AOL Music. "Now, after selling well over nine million records, we're genuinely excited to offer our AOL for Broadband members an intimate performance with his full band, just before they embark on the second leg of their tour."

Since the release of his extraordinarily successful 2001 self-titled debut album, and his stunning follow up, Closer, Josh Groban has become a musical phenomenon, selling more than nine million albums, and making scores of televised appearances. Groban was named an AOL Breaker artist in 2001, introducing him to millions of new fans months before any other media outlet. Groban's two inspired Sessions@AOL performances and interviews, as well as several First Listens and First Views, have turned many AOL members into dedicated "Grobanites." They have played the passionate and powerful songs, which blend elements of pop and classical music, millions of times on the AOL service.

As part of this special Broadband Rocks live concert, AOL is helping raise awareness for Keep a Child Alive, (https://www.keepachildalive.org/), an organization dedicated to helping children in Africa affected with HIV/AIDS. Josh Groban will be featured in a public service announcement for the cause.
AOL will also make tickets for the event available through giveaways on radio stations in cities across the country, at select Los Angeles retail outlets, as well as through Josh Groban's official fan club.
Broadband Rocks is AOL Music's popular weekly concert series, featuring concert performances from the world's biggest musical stars. In addition to the intimate event with Josh Groban, AOL's original Broadband Rocks series has featured live concerts with diverse artists such as Foo Fighters, Hilary Duff, Alicia Keys, Usher, Avril Lavigne and more.
"Broadband Rocks is one of the must-have programs that brings the AOL for Broadband service to life for millions of members," said Shawn Hardin, senior vice president of product and programming, AOL for Broadband. "With exclusive events like this Josh Groban performance broadcast live over high-speed, our members have access to an entirely unique Internet experience."

AOL Music reaches the largest audience of online music fans through an array of programming, products and services that make it easy to discover, experience, listen to and buy music online(1).
Each month, the AOL Music Network, which includes the AOL Music Channel, Winamp, Netscape Music, Radio@Netscape, AOL.com Music, SHOUTCAST, Compuserve Music and ICQ Music reaches an audience of more than 18 million visitors who stream up to four million songs and videos every day(1).
