Southern Black Metal Band Legions Of Hoar Frost Release Debut Album Bringers Of The Black Flame
Hammond, LA (Top40 Charts/ Legions of Hoar Frost Official Website) Deep South Black Metal band Legions of Hoar Frost are making their way into the mainstream with their full-length debut album, Bringers of the Black Flame. It's notable mixture of influences creates a composition that member Daemontis describes as "…a very unique form that holds true to the black metal essence while creating soundscapes that cannot be easily pigeon-holed". The title track is based on the harbingers of enlightenment meant to awaken listeners to their inner beauty and the true wisdom that rests in the darkness of their unexplored consciousness.

Taken from the spiritual concept developed by Aleister Crowley, "Thelema Xeper Deitus" declares that life can be what the listener desires as long as it is lived by their own will, avoiding the poisonous traps of religion. "The meek shall inherit the Earth" is the simple idea from which "Chosen to Rule" was formed. It calls for listeners to shed off the weak and those who cannot think for or take care of themselves due to their own fear and weakness.

Legions of Hoar Frost formed during the winter of 2004 as a two-piece by members Beast and Daemontis stemming from a mutual hatred for Christianity and for those who perpetuate the ideal of silence and servitude. Drawing from a wide variety of influences (from black, death, and doom metal, classical, and ambient music), a three-song demo titled "Frozen Hatred" was recorded with the track "Consume Eternity" gaining some attention and followers in the metal underground of their native South Louisiana, an unlikely place for a band who's genre hails from the frozen landscapes of Norway. "Consume Eternity" was later re-recorded with newly added members Leviathan (guitars/vocals), Maxx (bass) and Andras (drums) and original members Daemontis on guitar/piano/chants and Beast on lead vocals. Legions recently opened for Ritual Killer, a project of Sammy Duet (Goatwhore, ex-Acid Bath, ex-Crowbar) and will open for Abigail Williams in Baton Rouge, LA August 12th as part of their last tour before disbanding.

Bringers of the Black Flame is available for purchase at Amazon and iTunes.
