The Sandbox Kings Reveal More Than Just Their "Secrets" With The Release Of Their New Album
New York, NY (Top40 Charts/ Denise Music PR) Perhaps best known for their "Rock the Red" Washington Capitals' celebration song, which is played after every goal scored by the Caps, The Sandbox Kings are excited to announce the release of their sophomore album Secrets, which is available on iTunes and leading retail sites.

Secrets, which was written and recorded by front man Branko Hordic, features 10 songs, including such stand out songs as title track "Secrets, "Chronicles of a Hero" and "Love Conspiracy." Hordic, who refers to the album as a "harder rocking album" than their critically-acclaimed debut Wonderfall, says that fans will not be disappointed with their latest effort.

"The first record was a bit more indie/adult contemporary," Hordic said. "For the new album, we really took a hard rock approach and explored deeper themes including long distance relationships, tributes to those who serve our country, love, awakening, and just realizations that life is passion."

Delving into deeper themes has been a mission of the band since they began the writing and recording process. However, the group says that they made sure to weave in their unique trademark sound, especially with songs like "Love Conspiracy," which was written as a more upbeat, fun track reminiscent of old time spy movies.

While Secrets is the band's second album, The Sandbox Kings are certainly no strangers to the industry. In fact, Hordic has been hailed by The Washington Post as demonstrating "plenty of versatility -- on guitar, keyboards and other instruments -- while cleverly orchestrating his dreamy scenarios" released their first album "Wonderfall" to critical acclaim in 2010. In fact, the CD and band was so well-received that leading rock site NYRock.com referred to the group as "attack(ing) their instruments with determination and feeling, as dynamic beats pound out of the speakers."

"After the immediate reaction to 'Wonderfall" we knew that we had to continue to keep our fans happy with more than just new materials but with new ideas and sounds that would take us and our listeners to a whole new level," Hordic said.
