New York, NY (Top40 Charts/ Natixis Global Asset Management) WHO: Pop singer and songwriter Sharin, a student at Berklee College of Music, will perform a free concert this Friday at the Boston Greenway as part of Berklee College of Music's Summer in the City concert series. Sharin began singing as a young child and even created her own compositions by age nine. As a college student, her career was impacted by a seven month battle with stage 4 Non Hodgkin's Lymphoma. She is currently cancer-free and determined to seize this second chance as the opportunity to live out her dreams. Her influences include pop country music, Spanish pop ballads and R&B.
WHAT: Berklee College of Music's Summer in the City series features over 115 free outdoor concerts throughout the Boston area from May through September. Natixis Global Asset Management has partnered with Berklee College of Music to sponsor the summer program, designed to enrich lives through preserving the cultural experience of music.

WHY: Sharin's success started at a young age and continued into her teenage years, as she earned countless awards and accolades and performed at various youth conferences, festivals and concerts. In the summer of 2011 Sharin was part of Berklee's Songwriter Tour in cities throughout Spain. She has worked with artists and producers such as Eddie Perez, Jean Rodriguez, Toby Love, and Obie Bermudez. Sharin released her extended play Quiero in December 2011. It contains completely original content.
