New York, NY (Top40 Charts/ Rebel Inc. official website) REBEL INC., a socially and politically charged punk/metal/rap band out of Baltimore, MD, seems to be rising from the crop of unsigned bands. The band was invited to perform live on the Bubba The Love Sponge Show out of Tampa, FL, on the morning of Tuesday, August 28. Bubba's talk show has Sirius/XM radio's second-largest audience, behind only
Howard Stern, and is also broadcast on his internet station, Radioio, and in several top terrestrial markets. REBEL INC.'s song "
Broken Man" was announced as the #1 protest song by Bubba back in May.
The rebels have also made a new fan in VH-1 Classic's "That Metal Show" host Jim Florentine, who bought his own CD and t-shirt to support the band, and has tweeted about REBEL INC. several times, to people asking about new bands to listen to. His most recent shout for the band was in an interview with Loudwire, after he opened for
Metallica at Orion
Music and More Festival. He says, "There's a band out of Baltimore that I really like. They're called
Rebel Inc. They're definitely up-and-coming. If you like Rage, you'll love them."
As an added date to their tour schedule, the band has committed to the Paul Festival at the
State Fairgrounds in Tampa, FL, on Aug. 25, a long with Red Jumpsuit Apparatus. This festival is the weekend prior to the Republican
