September 25th! Following up 2009's Broken Hearted Beat, Chaisson's new album The Other Side, promises to deliver an intimate and heartfelt listening experience, one that Chaisson has already become well-known for in Canada. Bumstead (The Trews, Two Hours Traffic, Poor Young Things) will release the new album nationally on
September 25th, 2012.
Recorded at Woodshed Studio under the guidance of producer Colin Linden (Bruce Cockburn,
Blackie & the Rodeo Kings, Lucinda Williams), The Other Side blends Maritime roots and folk music with a lush yet minimal arrangement. Holding the album together is Tim Chaisson's warm, welcoming vocals and beautiful guitar melodies. The album's lead single, 'Beat This Heart', is a duet with the critically acclaimed singer-songwriter Serena Ryder.
Chaisson's star is on the rise, even outside the Maritime provinces. Strong performances at Canadian
Music Week 2012 and a slew of tour dates across Canada have had fans coming in droves, and a series of upcoming national tour dates in support of The Other Side promise to ensure that Tim Chaisson is an artist to watch in 2012.
