St. Petersburg, Fla. (Top40 Charts/ Urban Addiction Group) Central Florida native son Famous Kid Brick has got to be one of the brightest rays of independent hip hop to glimmer and gleam from the
Sunshine State today.
With more than 2,500 BDS-registered radio spins of his runaway hit single "Im On It," 15,000 iTunes downloads and sold out shows throughout the Southeast, Hussch Boy Productions flagship artist Famous Kid Brick has been continually holding Florida captive.
And he is set to give the rest of the world a dose of the radiant rays that our backyards have been soaking up for months with the official video for "I'm On It" set to be released August 7. Edited and directed by creative videographer Robert Gallardo, the video is a collection of performance footage over the last year as Brick has been sailing away on his sea of success.
Now after two solid snowball seasons of turning up temperatures even hotter with amped-up party rhymes and innovative styles, Brick continues to spread his infectious sound throughout the South and across the continent with his forthcoming single "Yes Sir," scheduled to drop the same day as the video.
Atop mid-tempo, futuristic production of hypnotic synthesizers and a throbbing bass track provided by celebrated Atlanta-based beat technician DreBeatz (Rosco Dash,
Travis Porter, Future), Brick stunts like there's no tomorrow with fly kicks and fast chicks.
"Everyone says I got the complete package. They also told me it wasn't going to be easy, but I've stayed humble, continued to perfect my craft, and built relationships along this road to success," states Brick. "You can hate, but you can't deny. You are now witnessing a dream come true."
This year alone, he has had crowds captivated from with show-stopping performances at WiLD 94.1 FM's Last Damn Show 13 in Tampa, FAMU's Homecoming Fashion Show in Tallahassee, BCU's Homecoming Pep Rally in Daytona, and The Florida Classic Riding Big Car Show in Orlando.
Most recently, Brick brought down the house during WiLD 94.1's annual WiLD Splash 2012
Spring Break concert in Clearwater, Fla. at Coachman Park. During his magical performance, a sea of about 10,000 multi-ethnic fans and followers recited Brick's every lyric verbatim.
"With the show that Famous Kid Brick and the Hussch Boy crew put on, you totally forget that it's a local artist performance," says Orlando Davis, WiLD 94.1 program director..
And with good reason- Brick has kept his name ringing throughout the South with his two scorching singles "Dumb Doe" and "I'm On It," which enjoyed the number one spot on Tampa's WiLD 94.1 FM station throughout 2011-2012. Refusing to slow down from his increasing momentum, Brick continues to reinvent himself and change the game with his epic video release "I'm On It" and simmering new single "Yes Sir." This is not a game!
