NEW YORK (NCA Records) - Composer, performing artist and new arrival Sean Grace grabbed the No 1 position on the NAR World Music / New Age radio charts for June 2004 with his independent release 'New Frontiers' (NCA Records). Competing against over 100 releases from labels such as Columbia, Narada and Real World, New Frontiers received the most cumulative airplay from over 170 radio stations world-wide during its first month on the charts. Although NAR primarily tracks airplay on stations programming World and New Age genres, New Frontiers has also found a home on playlists in the Contemporary Jazz and AAA markets. Donna Jo Thornton of KSBR in Mission Viejo, CA states, "Sean Grace defies genres" and explained that the station is putting tracks in rotation on both its eclectic "Morning Breeze" and Smooth Jazz programs. XM Satellite Radio is currently playing the record on both its eclectic-rock channel Fine Tunings and its World-Music channel Audio Visions. Independent music reviewer RJ Lannan in a June 2004 issue of New Age Reporter states, "New Frontiers is a musical alchemist's cross-over dream. His Celtic-rock meets instrumental jazz formula puts him in his own class of musical wizardry." In a May 2004 review of New Frontiers, Jazz Times says, "Sean Grace demonstrates how drama can be expressed in an understated yet eloquent way. Grace possesses a supple, Celtic-flavored sound, and his compositions are evocative." Grace is currently supporting the record with performances throughout the northeastern US. New Frontiers is available at select retailers and CDBaby.com Press inquiries and booking please contact Steve Curry at: [email protected] For more information on Sean Grace please visit: www.seangrace.com
