New York, NY (Top40 Charts/ Sticky Toffee PR) Ember Phoenix moved from Trinidad, to West London at a young age. Following his move he immediately found a passion for music, whether it be playing the piano or writing lyrics in his bedroom for hours on end.
On reaching his teens he quickly developed his skills and began playing on pirate radio stations in what was later to be called the grime scene. After getting airplay on numerous stations he developed as an artist, expanding his talents to a variety of genres including Hip-Hop and Dubstep.
Since completing his formal education Ember Phoenix started to view music as a career rather than just a vocation. He released his first mixtape 'MC Starter Kit', generating a significant buzz, through underground hits such as 'Bodydrop'; enough so, that he was noticed by Golden Globe and Oscar winning producer A.R. Rahman. As a result he worked on the track 'Ponmagal Vandaal', selling over 3 million copies across india. He was also noticed by Mike Anthony of the Rampage crew on BBC 1xtra who put Ember on main stage at Notting Hill Carnival.
Ember is now focussed on establishing himself as a leading artist in the UK urban / pop scene, and returns with his anthemic new single 'Go Ard'. Bolstered by a thunderous backdrop of sub bass and rock drum breaks, Ember delivers a commanding vocal performance full of tongue in cheek punchlines and savvy wordplay.
