DESTIN, Fla. (Rogers & Cowan) - Lead singer of country group Trick Pony, Heidi Newfield, and her husband, Bill Johnson, NFL sports agent, were involved in a two-car automobile accident in an intersection last night (July 19) in Destin, Florida.
The accident occurred at approximately 9:30 p.m. near the Destin airport where Johnson picked up Newfield, who was coming in from a promotion stop in Houston, in which she was promoting Trick Pony's upcoming album.

Newfield sustained neck and back injuries, and her husband sustained multiple fractures in his left hand. The couple, in addition to the other driver involved, were rushed to a local hospital.
Newfield was released early this morning, and will continue back on Trick Pony's promotional tour on Thursday. Johnson will undergo surgery for his hand this Saturday.
