Career highlights of 2001 Gospel Music Hall of Fame inductees:

DORIS AKERS: Singer, arranger, choir director and songwriter responsible for ``Sweet, Sweet Spirit'' and ``I Cannot Fail the Lord'' and co-writer of ``Lord, Don't Move the Mountain'' with Mahalia Jackson. Akers founded and directed the Sky Pilot Choir.

WENDY BAGWELL & THE SUNLITERS: Georgia group consisting of Bagwell, Jerri Morrison, Jan Buckner and Charlie Beatenbo. Hits include ``Here Come the Rattlesnakes.'' Bagwell died in 1996.

KEITH GREEN: A missionary and singer-songwriter whose songs include ``You Put This Love in My Heart'' and ``Grace by Which I Stand.'' He died in a plane crash in 1982.

KURT KAISER: A songwriter (``Pass It On'') and producer who has worked with Kathleen Battle, Tennessee Ernie Ford, George Beverly Shea, Burl Ives and many others. He has recorded 16 instrumental albums.

LARRY NORMAN: One of the pioneers of Christian rock, and arguably its founder. Norman had a pop hit in 1968, ``I Love You,'' with his band People before going solo. Songs like Norman's ``Why Should the Devil Have All the Good Music'' and ``Moses'' set the standard for early contemporary Christian music.

ELVIS PRESLEY: The king of rock 'n' roll's career stretched far afield from gospel music, but his singing career began at church and gospel was always his musical touchstone. His more than 50 gospel music recordings include ``How Great Thou Art,'' ``Peace in the Valley'' and ``He Touched Me.''

THE RAMBOS: Family act consisting of Buck and Dottie Rambo and daughter Reba Rambo. Known for harmonies and songwriting talents of Dottie. Hits include ``We Shall Behold Him'' and ``Sheltered in the Arms of God.'' Whitney Houston recorded Dottie's song ``I Go to the Rock'' for the movie ``The Preacher's Wife.''

ALBERTINA WALKER: Singer known for ``Joy Will Come,'' ``I Can Go to God in Prayer'' and ``Please Be Patient with Me.'' Her career has spanned six decades.
