LONDON (Reuters) - Craig David has been nominated for three prizes at the Music Of Black Origin (Mobo) Awards following his Mobo Award hat-trick last year.

The 20-year-old R&B singer will face competition from five other acts who have all been nominated for three awards as well.

And So Solid Crew, Destiny's Child, Missy Elliot, Usher and Oxide & Neutrino are all acts with a fighting chance of success.

US soul singer Luther Vandross will also collect a lifetime achievement award.

R Kelly will be honoured for his outstanding contribution to the genre.

Last year Southampton-based David won best single, best R&B act and best UK newcomer, having been nominated for a record six awards.
