LOS ANGELES (Top40 Charts) - Puffy, Dr. Dre and Nelly have contributed new songs to the soundtrack for the film Training Day. Dre and Snoop Dogg will have cameos in the film as well as Macy Gray, though she and Snoop are not on the soundtrack.

Training Day, due September 11th, also boasts the unlikely pairing of Puff Daddy and David Bowie on the Bowie classic "This is Not America." That collaboration has been renamed "American Dream." C Murder and Trick Daddy teamed up for a remake of N.W.A.'s "F** tha Police," re-titled "Watch the Police" for the soundtrack. Nelly's "#1" will be the first single off the album, which is due September 11th.

The film, in theaters September 21st, stars Denzel Washington as a veteran L.A.P.D. Narcotics officer who takes rookie cop Ethan Hawke through his first day of training on the job.
