More Praise For Charlie Peacock's No Man's Land; Peacock's Tour Makes Its Way West
New York, NY (Top40 Charts/ Missing Piece Group) Charlie Peacock is currently on tour in support of his "nimble roots-pop album, No Man’s Land," and as writer Jewly Hight wrote in CMT Edge, "There’s quite a bit of back story, as you might expect of the work of a ruminative songwriter-producer-author." She notes that it "doesn’t sound like any other roots album I’ve heard this year."

The album, which was inspired by Peacock’s ancestral family in Western Louisiana and Oklahoma, is "rich in roots both geographical and spiritual," (Brian Mansfield, USA Today).

Blurt Magazine’s Lee Zimmerman observed that No Man’s Land "spotlights what [Peacock] does best, writing and recording thoughtful narratives that are as affecting as they are engaging."

Writing in Paste, Holly Gleason describes the album as "Equal parts an exploration of his family’s Oklahoma/Louisiana origins and his own soul-searching, it is a mélange: reels whirl, National guitars quiver like highway heatwaves and the metaphysics of life rise weightless from its dusty, earthy loam."

Peacock has been playing to wildly enthusiastic crowds on the first leg of his tour. Dates are listed below, with more to be announced shortly.

Legendary musician/scribe Al Kooper stopped by to visit with Peacock and saxophonist Jeff Coffin when the tour swung through Boston last week. Pictured above, L to R, are Coffin, Kooper and Peacock.

If you’d like a review copy of No Man’s Land, or tickets to one of his performances, please contact Regina Joskow ([email protected]) or Joe Sivick ([email protected]) at the Missing Piece Group, 862-234-0801.
