New York, NY (Top40 Charts/ Shore Fire Media) The Iridium's new record label, IridiumLive, welcomes two additions to the family next month with release shows for live albums by Gregg Rolie and Arlen Roth. In addition, the club has a jam-packed November calendar of guitar greats from the worlds of jazz, rock, soul, and more. Check out just a few of the highlights below, and don't miss the IridiumLive release show for the Grateful Dead's Donna Jean Godchaux Oct 26, featuring Jeff Mattson of Dark Star Orchestra:
Oct 31/Nov 1 - Gregg Rolie Duo with Alan Haynes (IridiumLive CD Release Show): Rock and Roll Hall of Famer Gregg Rolie is responsible for co-founding both
Journey and Santana, and his incredible vocals on hits like "
Black Magic Woman" "
Evil Ways" and "
Oye Como Va" are the stuff of legend. He'll celebrate the release of 'Live at the Iridium,' which features
Texas strat-slinger Alan Hayes.
Nov 2 - Robbie Dupree: Dupree's self-titled debut album produced two Top 10 singles, "Steal Away" and "Hot Rod Hearts," and earned him a Grammy nomination for Best New Artist. He even visited Late Night with
Jimmy Fallon to perform the track with Fallon on backing vocals.
Nov 5 - Arlen Roth (IridiumLive CD Release Show): One of Vintage Guitar Magazine's Top 100 Influential Guitarists of the Century, Arlen Roth has performed with Bob Dylan, John Entwistle, Ry Cooder, and Levon Helm among others, and once gave guitar lessons to Paul Simon. He'll return to The Iridium to mark the release of 'IridiumLive 003 - 2.29.2012,' which captures him and his touring band at their best, blazing through highlights from his vast repertoire and classics like "House of the Rising Sun," "When A Man Loves a Woman" and "Vaya Con Dios," - the latter a tribute to Les Paul featuring Lexie Roth.
Nov 10/11 - Billy Cox Band of Gypsys w/ Eric Gales and Special Guest Steve Stevens: The only surviving member of both the
Jimi Hendrix Experience and the Band of Gypsys, bassist Billy Cox has played with some of the most revered names in music, from
