Opeth At Groana Lund
New York, NY (Top40 Charts/ Roadrunner Records) On September 14, Opeth performed a special show at the Stockholm amusement park Gröna Lund. The park invites bands to perform on a one-by-one basis - it's not a gig you can book like any other show on a tour.

When the performance was originally announced earlier this year, frontman Mikael Åkerfeldt said, "Tremendous honour for us! Unbelievable. You can't book a stage like this as they are based on being invited to play. I've been there a million times throughout my life, mainly just getting sick in some roller coaster. Never did I think that my little band would be on that fucking stage. So humbled by this. I rarely get worked up for anything, but I am actually excited about this. I think it will be a magic night. We'll do our best to make it so anyways." Well, now you can see how it went, as the video above has been posted, and includes behind the scenes footage as well as clips of the band's performance. Frankly, we're shocked to see this rock-god side of Mikael - he actually leaps off the drum riser at the end of one song. Enjoy!

Opeth's latest album, Heritage, is available everywhere now - grab a copy from the Roadrunner webstore!
