As previously reported, 'Chimera' was the most recent single lifted from 'Apnea' and also remixed by Hannah Holland.
Watch the arresting 'Chimera' video here:
Taking in krautrock, garage rock, post-punk and West Coast melodies, 'Apnea' was inspired by a difficult time in frontman Tobi O'Kandi's life where he battled to stay in the UK over unresolved immigration issues from his childhood. 'Apnea' represents a distinct new chapter in the band's career, with O' Kandi taking production influences from a variety of genres. Tobi grew up listening to gospel music and African church choirs as well as the likes of Boney M, Tina Turner, Whitney Houston, Jimmy Cliff, Michael Jackson. And whilst Tobi's distinct baritone makes you instantly recognise this is an O Children record, the music has richly developed from their debut, branching out from their gothic rock origins to embrace more expansive krautrock and electronic sounds.
