Singer, songwriter, piano-slayer, and prolific blogger
Amanda Palmer and her band The Grand Theft Orchestra are excited to announce further UK & Irish shows following their sold out 3 UK shows this month. The March 2013 tour will commence in Dublin on March 21st, and culminate at London's Roundhouse on March 28th.
Amanda Palmer tickets go on-sale 9am on Monday 22nd October and are available from www.livenation.co.uk or www.ticketmaster.co.uk.
The tour is in support of the kickstarter funded album Theatre Is Evil, which is out now. Arguably her most pop-influenced album yet, Theatre Is Evil showcases Amanda's powerful vocals and talented songwriting in ways that may surprise even her most ardent fans. Written over the course of several years (since the release of her last studio album, Who Killed
Amanda Palmer), the album offers a collection of sounds and rhythms heavily influenced by the music Palmer grew up listening to - most notably 80s synth rock and Brit Pop.
Amanda Palmer and The Grand Theft Orchestra - featuring members Michael McQuilken, Chad Raines, and Jherek Bischoff - recorded the album in Melbourne with producer John Congleton (St. Vincent, Murder By Death, Modest Mouse, Xiu Xiu).
