NEW YORK (www.stonedchannelcd.com) - "Van Gogh Was Not A Stoner," a high energy rock track, and "Hello, My Old Friend (Marijuana)," a country ballad, are among the diversely styled songs, mixed with "editing parodies" spoofing the last four U.S. presidents - Bush, Clinton, Bush, and Reagan.

It's "The Stoned Channel," a zany new audio CD featuring an accomplished, varied musical repertoire by Jeffrey J. Davis and The J.J. Davis Band, available online, including at https://www.StonedChannelCD.com, and in stores.
The songs span musical genres, from reggae "Marijuana Party Time," to the pop/middle-of-the-road spoof, "Those Were The Bongs," to folk-rock "Marijuana French Toast." There's Indian sitar, and New Age too.

Jeffrey J. Davis - of San Francisco's Polkacide and Thee Hellhounds - composed and produced the original songs on "The Stoned Channel," collaborating with songwriter and executive producer Cliff Roth. The J.J. Davis Band includes top talent from the San Francisco Bay Area alternative music scene:
* Les Izmore - Thee Hellhounds * Lance Kaufmann - Harmless, Karla Pundit, Yard Trauma, and the song, "They Dug Up Elvis" * Niel Basa - Polkacide * Peter Nye - The Snake Oil Boys * Jay Radford - Stinky and The Rat Bastards * John J.T. Thomas - Tumblin' Dice * James A. Dillon - Archipelago Brewing Co. and Caroliner Rainbow * Wally Sound - The Wannabe Texans * Billy Schwartz - The Witnesses, Those Darn Accordions, The Snake Oil Boys and Goofball * Dean Santomieri, Katie Wees, and Pete Webster

Stereo sound mastering by world renowned Bernie Grundman, whose clients include Michael Jackson, Ry Cooder, Quincy Jones, David Lee Roth, and Joni Mitchell.
"The Stoned Channel" is slick, polished audio art. It's based on the soon- to-be-released film about a fictional home-shopping channel. Roth's earlier film, "The Reagans Speak Out On Drugs," appeared on USA Network - its soundtrack was a nightclub "sampling" favorite, and has been widely played on college radio. "The Stoned Channel" CD, MSRP $16.99, is available online at https://www.StonedChannelCD.com, on Amazon.com, or through music stores.
