Don Felder Continues Tour On The 'Road To Forever,' First Solo Album In Almost 30 Years
New York, NY (Top40 Charts/ ABC PR) Singer/guitarist/songwriter/New York Times best-selling author/four-time Grammy Award winner DON FELDER (@donfelder) remains in high gear promoting his second solo album (and first since 1983), ROAD TO FOREVER, which was released October 9 on Rocket Science Ventures.  The critically-acclaimed album debuted on Billboard's "Heatseekers" chart at #27.

The album's first single, "Fall From The Grace Of Love" (which features backing vocals by Crosby, Stills and Nash), will be included in the episode of Showtime's Emmy-winning series "Homeland" airing Sunday, November 11 (check local listings for airtimes).  Ultimateclassicrock.com hailed the track:  "FELDER's mastery of the easy-going country rock style and beautiful melodies employed by his former band remain intact."

Rolling Stone (France) called ROAD TO FOREVER "one of those timeless albums, cut to ride on highways, which we love to know still exist."  While Musicradar.com hailed:  "The album's 12 cuts are heartfelt and direct, a catchy and soulful musical autobiography that steers clear of mawkish self-indulgence. And FELDER's guitar playing - rendered with but a fraction of his nearly 300 instruments! - is as stirring as ever."  And Premier Guitar praised:  "FELDER is back with his trademark guitar choirs and hooky riffs."

FELDER wrote or co-wrote all the songs and performs guitar and lead vocals on the album, which boasts a long list of iconic guest performers including:  David Crosby, Graham Nash, Stephen Stills, Steve Lukather, David Paich and Steve Porcaro of Toto, Randy Jackson, Styx's Tommy Shaw and others. It was produced by FELDER along with Robin DiMaggio (Paul Simon, Steve Vai).

ROAD TO FOREVER features 12 rousing, guitar-driven original tracks anchored firmly in the classic L.A.-rock sound he perfected as guitarist for The Eagles for 27 years.  Filled with songs that reflect on life, love's gains and losses, and redemption, the album is a return to center stage for the celebrated musician.  It was conceived during a long period of introspection that also resulted in his 2008 New York Times best-selling autobiography HEAVEN AND HELL: MY LIFE IN THE EAGLES (1974-2001).  After his acrimonious separation from The Eagles and the dissolution of his 29-year marriage, FELDER says he was inspired to "write out the stories of my life as songs.  After I collected myself, I found I needed to go out and play music again, and that's how I began recording the album. In the process, I found out who I really am - I had to find out what happened when I almost lost it all."

DON FELDER is renowned as the former lead guitarist of The Eagles, one of the most popular and influential rock groups of our time.  The band's record-setting compilation THEIR GREATEST HITS (1971-1975) sold over 29 million copies in the U.S. alone and was awarded by the RIAA the top-selling album of the 20th Century.  A member of the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame since 1998, FELDER served as a key member of The Eagles for 27 years, putting his mark on numerous Eagles milestones.  He originated and co-wrote the band's biggest hit, the iconic smash "Hotel California" from the Grammy Hall Of Fame-inducted album, HOTEL CALIFORNIA, along with fan favorites like "Victim of Love" and "Those Shoes."  He became immediately celebrated for his lyrical, signature guitar work on legendary songs like "Life in the Fast Lane," "One of These Nights," "New Kid In Town," and many more.

In touring news, FELDER is already starting to plan out a trek for 2013, which will be announced in the coming weeks.  Before 2012 comes to a close, he'll be performing a few more shows which will include an appearance—along with Johnny Depp and Orianthi--at Alice Cooper's "12th Annual Christmas Pudding" event on Saturday, December 8 at the Comerica Theatre in Phoenix, AZ.  And on Thursday, December 13, FELDER will be part of the "KLOS All Star Band" along with Al Jardine (Beach Boys), Steve Lukather (Toto), Mickey Dolenz (The Monkees), Jeff Keith (Tesla), Gregg Bissonette (Ringo Starr's All Starr Band) as part of the "The 95.5 KLOS Christmas Show" at the Nokia Theatre in Los Angeles, CA.
