New York, NY (Top40 Charts/ Susan Aquila Official Website) World-famous violinist SUSAN AQUILA has entered T.V.R. Recording Studios in Rockford, Illinois, U.S.A. to begin tracking the new SUSAN AQUILA (band) album yet-to-be-named which should be out sometime in mid 2013.
All parties involved are very pleased so far with everything and the album is shaping up to be something that will set a new trend in the rock/contemporary world.
Rob Tomaro, Susan's guitarist who is also a world-famous composer and symphony director came to T.V.R. Studios to work with producer Jason Z. (who has produced countless albums for Turkey Vulture Records as well as other projects) as a referral from long-time friend and pianist
David Painter. Tomaro was so impressed with Jason Z.'s work that he decided to bring the project in and begin work on the new album immediately.
Rob Tomaro is credited as writing the songs for the new album. "We wanted to bring a new direction to this project and bring forth something that hasn't really been done before" explains Tomaro. The new album brings a new twist to the rock world which incorporates Susan's classical-yet-modern twist as a top violinist and as a front-woman in the world arena. Susan also sings for the first time on this album which had previously been uncharted waters for her. Susan states "I'm very excited and cant wait to hear the finished product! I definitely think this will open up new doors and definitely be a fan-favorite!"
Susan has shared the stage with such musical giants as Billy Joel,
Paul McCartney, Robert Plant, Alicia Keys, Tony Bennett, John Mayer, K.D. Lang, Josh Groban, and Whitney Houston. Her artistic vision and crossover styles have garnered her appearances on "Good Morning America", "Live with Regis and Kelly", "Late Night with
David Letterman" and "The Today Show".
As a classical violinist, she has performed solo and chamber music recitals at The White House for Presidents
George Bush and Bill Clinton and at Weill and Merkin Halls in New York City. Her Broadway credits include "Wicked," The Lion King," and "Annie Get Your Gun." Susan can also be heard on album recordings and movie soundtracks for Columbia Records, A&M Records, Sony Records and Silvercup Studios. She most recently performed an onstage role in the smash revue "The Rock Tenor" at the Wilma Theater in Philadelphia.
Since 2008, Susan has become one of the nation's most visible performers on the Viper 6-string electric violin. She has made solo appearances on the instrument with, among others, The Concert Pops of Long Island, the Beloit-Janesville Symphony Orchestra, and in the renowned Off-Broadway show, "Spider Dance."
