By the time she was 13 years-old, Archibong was already a household name at the popular Abundant Life Church choir in Bradford, which previously exposed the likes of former Pop Idol winner Gareth Gates.
The vocalists positive nature and passion for life can be heard throughout all of her superb self-written lyrics. Her life experiences, interactions with others and her strong faith have helped form an individual musical style that combines fuses of soul, rhythm and blues with added jazz.
Emem's confidence level has been helped by becoming a fans favourite in the numerous national competitions she has entered. One of her most memorable and acclaimed performances was when she was picked out from hundreds of people to perform and asked to with perform her amazing rendention of Mariah Carey's classic 'Hero'.
Now a University of Bradford graduate, Emem's recent hit 'Trying To Be Myself' received rave reviews after she was approached by a Choice FM DJ to have it played during one of its shows, and she also has been shortlisted as a finalist on "Britain's Next Urban Superstar," which landed her an audition for Flava Music Channel and interviews with big-named radio stations such as KISS FM.
