Pittsburgh, PA (Top40 Charts) Teen country music artist, Josey Milner is releasing her new single, "Not Pretty Enough," to radio on December 11th. The single will spearhead an anti-bullying campaign by Ms. Milner. MTS Management Group and teen country music artist, Josey Milner are happy to announce the radio release date of Josey's new single, "Not Pretty Enough," as December 11, 2012. The single will be promoted to radio by industry veteran, Alan Young., who has promoted several other tracks for MTS Management Group. The single will kick off an anti-bullying campaign by Ms. Milner, that will include a music video, featuring fan-submitted photos, and a school speaking tour.
A brief, 30 second preview of the song was made available on Josey's facebook page earlier today. "The response has been overwhelming, so far," says Michael Stover of MTS Management Group. "People are really latching on to the positive message in the song. We've already had requests to use the single in other videos. The anti-bullying campaign is going to touch a lot of people."
"
Not Pretty Enough" will be used as the launching pad for Josey's Anti-Bullying Campaign, a cause which hits close to home. "When I started doing rodeo pageants, I received a lot of criticism and backlash from other kids," says Josey. "It was a difficult time, but thanks to the support I had with friends and family, I was able to overcome that time period. If I can help just one person feel like they are not alone, and that things will get better, then I will have accomplished what I set out to do." A music video for "
Not Pretty Enough" is in production, that will feature fan-submitted photos of people holding signs with positive
messages. A tour of schools, to speak about bullying, is in the planning stages, as is a radio promotional tour.
"
Not Pretty Enough" was recorded at Awestruck Studios in Kansas City, MO, with producer Micah Burdick and engineers, Matthew Russo (Hall and Oates) and Larry Gann (Elton John, John Rich.) It is the follow-up to Josey's first release, "Dead Flowers," which received worldwide airplay. The single is being released on MTS Records.
"We are so pumped about this new track," says Stover. "Josey absolutely killed the vocal, and Micah outdid himself on the production. As Josey's first recording with us, it really shows alot of growth from her previous work. We're so proud of her, and we look forward to a great winter-time run at the charts."
Veteran radio promoter, Alan Young will be taking the song to radio. His credits include tracks by Tim McGraw, Reba McEntire,
George Strait, and a number one by Heartland, "I Loved Her First." He is also promoting MTS artist, Amy Rose's current single, "I Just Want You To Know."
