Nina Nesbitt Sets March 2013 Live Dates
LONDON, UK (Top40 Charts) Last year Nina Nesbitt was just 16 years old when she began performing intimate shows across Edinburgh and Manchester and, with a budding interest in filmmaking, posted a selection of her own songs and some beautifully conceived cover versions on YouTube. The response she received was overwhelming. It kick started a roller coaster year for the half Scottish, half Swedish singer-songwriter that culminated with her self-released EP 'The Apple Tree' going straight to #6 on the iTunes download chart and #1 on the singer-songwriter chart in April.

Along the way a number of her luminaries have become firm supporters, the first being Ed Sheeran. Having heard of Nina's talents, last September Sheeran asked her to join him on stage and perform a song. She went down so well with the crowd that he invited her to support him at his forthcoming Glasgow show and then duet with him at London's Shepherd's Bush Empire. She has since toured Europe with him and also played a small cameo role in his 'Drunk' video.

Nina also won over Example with her unique version of his song 'Stay Awake'. He was so impressed that he tweeted her YouTube channel to his thousands of followers and then invited her to tour with him last December.

Since then Nina's YouTube channel has had over a million views to date, she has played her first headline UK tour, enjoyed playlist support from Radio 1 after being chosen as Fearne Cotton's 'Big Thing' / 'Record of the Week', signed publishing and record deals and performed sessions for BBC Introducing, including a recent headline slot on their stage at T in the Park.

Not only does Nina's voice boast an amazing technical ability, it is passionate and emotionally raw, her colloquial lyrics heartwarmingly candid and insightful. As she prepares to embark on another UK tour to celebrate the release of 'Boy', her first single with Island Records and a far more urgent, punchy offering than she's shared with us before, it's clear that this is just the beginning of a very exciting journey for this immensely talented young lady.
