ROME, Italy (Simon & Garfunkel Fans Website) - Paul Simon and Art Garfunkel concluded the European leg of their Old Friends tour by performing a free concert in Rome, Italy, in front of the Colosseum. The crowd was estimated to be 600,000. The concert also included the harmony singing Everly Brothers and was marked as Simon & Garfunkel's first appearance together in Italy. Simon and Garfunkel, both 62, with more than 40 million records sold only in the United States including such hits as 'The Sound of Silence' and 'Bridge Over Troubled Water,' kicked off the tour in October. It is their first concert tour as a duo in some 20 years.
