LOS ANGELES (Top40 Charts) = Alicia Keys, Gorillaz, Alien Ant Farm, and Drowning Pool are among the artists to receive their first gold, platinum, or multi-platinum awards by the Recording Industry Association of America in August.

Keys, along with Lifehouse, Vertical Horizon, and others, gets her first double platinum plaque for sales of 2 million for Songs in A Minor. Lifehouse and Vertical Horizon reach the same milestone for No Name Face and Everything You Want, respectively.

On the first-time platinum list this month are Alien Ant Farm (ANThology), Donald Fagen (The Nightfly), and Drowning Pool (Sinner), among others. Receiving their first gold records in August are Gorillaz (Gorillaz), Delirious? (The Cutting Edge), Rascal Flatts (Rascal Flatts), Craig David (Born To Do It), Mudvayne (L.D. 50), and Ibrahim Ferrer (Buena Vista Social Club Presents Ibrahim Ferrer), and more.

First-timers aside, other highlights of the August certs include 'NSync's Celebrity (5 million), Dixie Chicks' Fly (9 million), Third Eye Blind's Third Eye Blind (6 million), and Staind's Break the Cycle (3 million).
