Los Angeles, CA (Top40 Charts) A group of musicians from around the country have shared their talents and joined together to create a digital music compilation with proceeds benefitting Danbury Hospital. Songs for
Sandy Hook is a digital compilation available at www.songsforsandyhook.com. Volume 1 can be purchased for $20, and individual songs are $1, however donations will be accepted in any amount.
All proceeds will go to Danbury Hospital in Danbury, CT. Danbury Hospital is partnering with other counseling and mental health agencies within the community to provide 24-hour counseling for Newtown and its surrounding communities.
Manda Mosher, a musician who started Songs for
Sandy Hook along with fellow artist
Brandon Schott, said, "After the initial shock and loss of these precious lives at
Sandy Hook, I felt an expression of love was necessary. Being a musician, we turn to song in times of sorrow and comfort." After a flood of song donations, Manda decided to make Songs for
Sandy Hook a multi-volume compilation. "We would like to include Jimmy Greene's song "Ana Grace" on the compilation in honor of his daughter who has been lost to this tragedy. We hope to hear from him soon, and we are all sending our love to the victim's families. We are with them in mourning."
