NEW YORK (Billboard) - Melissa Etheridge has confirmed the itinerary for her summer solo tour, which will kick off Aug. 6 with the first of three shows in Washington, D.C. The newly announced dates of her "live...and alone" tour will find her playing multiple nights in many North American cities, wrapping with a pair of shows Sept. 29-30 in Denver. The tour comes in support of "Skin," which is due July 10. "I can't wait to begin performing again," Etheridge said. "It is my true passion. This tour is going to be special for me. I am returning to my roots and it will be a personal experience for the audience...and for myself." Prior to the tour, Etheridge will play July 22 on the second day of radio station KBCO Boulder's World Class Rockfest concert in Winter Park, Colo. An Aug. 10 appearance as part of NBC's " Today" show Friday Concert Series in Rockefeller Center is also planned.
