Thorcraft Cobra Celebrates The 'Year Of The Snake' With Release Of "Party Clock" Video
Los Angeles, CA (Top40 Charts/ It's Alive! Media) Los Angeles band Thorcraft Cobra (www.thorcraftcobra.com) is celebrating the 'Year of the Snake' for Chinese New Year with the release of their video for the song "Party Clock" off their debut album, COUNT IT IN. The video was directed by acclaimed TV director Ross Novie (The Office, Arrested Development, Secret Girlfriend) and features performances by actress Sara Fletcher (Secret Girlfriend, Family Guy) and a guy who looks alarming like Martin Landau. "Party Clock" was shot on location at the historic Boardner's in Hollywood. No animals other than Billy were harmed in the filming of this music video.

The video premiered on Friday, Feb 15 on Baeble Music (www.baeblemusic.com) and can be streamed and shared from the Thorcraft Cobra YouTube page at, https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=IUy2djpHppQ. The song features background vocals by the legendary Russell Mael of the venerable - and Coachella bound - Sparks.

To further compliment the serpentine themed festivities, Thorcraft Cobra is confirmed to perform live at the fabled Sunset Strip venue, The Viper Room, opening for Canadian indie darlings Mother Mother on March 5. Tickets are available at https://viperroom.com.

LA Weekly has called Thorcraft Cobra "…an unabashed power-pop band who've perfected the seemingly lost art of combining big, radio-friendly hooks with big, classic-rock guitars." Those hooks will be on display as three songs from COUNT IT IN have been licensed for the upcoming Lifetime movie, Road Trip. "Oh Melody," "Party Clock" and "Black Swan" will all be featured in the film, slated for air in May 2013.

Finally, the track "Another Day", featuring the bass wizardry of Steve McDonald (Redd Kross, OFF!) is confirmed as the band's next radio single from the COUNT IT IN record, going for spins on March 10. The song will be featured on the cover of the March 2013 FMQB Submodern Radio Sampler.

With Thorcraft Cobra, Canadian cold meets California cool. Billy Zimmer and Tammy Glover first met in previous projects while they were on the same label-the now defunct, but influential, Permanent Press Recordings. The two musicians always hatched plans to record together and, after a prolonged gestation (while Tammy toured the world and recorded with brothers Ron and Russell Mael, aka Sparks), Thorcraft Cobra finally came into being.

COUNT IT IN was released on January 8, 2013 on the Plaza Bowl Records & Tapes imprint, with distribution thru RedEye in the US and Outside in Canada. In its first week at radio, COUNT IT IN debuted at #7 on the FMQB Submodern Albums Chart, and was #6 most added at CMJ Top 200, and #3 most added at CMJ AAA. The record has been on the specialty (FMQB and KKBB) and college (CMJ) charts each and every week since release, and has garnered spins on stations such as KROQ, KCSN, WXRT, WMBR, KFAI, KDHX and many others.
