Victoria Justice Releases New Single "Girl Up" To Thank Fans For Meeting Her Girlraiser Challenge
Washington, D.C. (Top40 Charts/ United Nations Foundation) Today, recording artist and actress Victoria Justice released her new song and music video, "Girl Up," that highlight the work of the United Nations Foundation's Girl Up campaign to help girls in developing countries. The song and video, available online for free, are a gift to fans thanking them for meeting Justice's GirlRaiser Challenge, which raised more than $20,000 for the Girl Up campaign.

The "Girl Up" song and music video were inspired by Justice's trip to Guatemala with the Girl Up campaign in which she visited UN programs that help girls attend school, see a doctor, and stay safe. Guatemalan girls, particularly the indigenous population, often lack access to education and suffer chronic malnutrition and violence.

Wanting to improve girls' lives around the world, Justice challenged her fans to raise money for the Girl Up campaign before she released the "Girl Up" single and video.

"The great response to my GirlRaiser Challenge shows that there are so many girls in the United States just like me who are ready to stand up for other girls around the world," Justice said. "Through the Girl Up campaign, we can make sure these girls are educated, healthy, and safe. I am proud to be a Girl Up Champion and to use my voice to give back."

Justice has been a Champion for the Girl Up campaign since its launch in 2010. In that role, she motivates other teens to get involved and take action for girls in developing countries.

The 19-year-old singer also revealed to "On Air with Ryan Seacrest" that her Here's 2 Us summer tour kicks off in June, and she'll be bringing the Girl Up campaign on the road with her. For more information visit GirlUp.org/VictoriaJusticeTour and https://www.victoriajustice.net.
