New York, NY (Top40 Charts/ Berklee College of Music) The Checkout - Live at Berklee, which brings critically acclaimed, New York-based Berklee alumni back to their alma mater for concerts in The Red Room at Cafe 939, continues on Thursday, March 7 with rising saxophonist Walter Smith III, a 2003 Berklee graduate. Smith will perform with pianist Taylor Eigsti, bassist Harish Raghavan, drummer Clarence Penn, and Berklee alumnus guitarist Matt Stevens.
Smith has performed all over the world in numerous national and international festivals and at prestigious venues in the U.S. such as Carnegie Hall and the Kennedy Center. He has shared the stage and appeared on recordings with many jazz notables including Terence Blanchard, Roy Haynes, Christian McBride, and many more. To date, he has appeared on more than 75 recordings released worldwide.
