Photo opportunity: Sam Goody to sponsor Metallica's one-and-only book signing at first avenue; Exclusive signing to follow August 16 concert

MINNEAPOLIS (Musicland Group) WHAT: As part of the kick off of Metallica's "Madly in Anger with the World" tour on August 16, Sam Goody is sponsoring an exclusive book signing at First Avenue.
In order toattend the event, Metallica fans must have pre-purchased the band's book SO WHAT! The Good, The Mad, and The Ugly at metro-area Sam Goody stores and received a special wristband. The pre-purchased books will be available for pick up at First Avenue the night of the concert for the book signing.

Available Tuesday, August 17, SO WHAT! illustrates Metallica's journey from the inside - including milestones, memories and darker days. A collection of both new and archival materials from the band's self-published, decade-old magazine of the same name, SO WHAT! lavishly chronicles all aspects of Metallica's rise to fame.

Published by Broadway Books and edited by Steffan Chirazi, full-time chronicler of the band and editor of So What! magazine, a quarterly that is mailed to the 22,000 members of the Metallica fan club, SO WHAT! includes original interviews, handwritten notes from the band, intimate journal entries and more than 1000 exclusive photos.
