NEW YORK (Ultra Records, www.ultrarecords.com/ www.arminvanbuuren.com) - Due to his enormous popularity, turntable sensation ARMIN VAN BUUREN will be the first Dutch DJ to perform a four-hour solo set in the 'park of parks,' the world-famous Central Park in New York City. The event called ARMIN ONLY will take place Thursday, August 12, 2004.
* Tickets are on sale now $30 in advance/$35 at the door.*
*More information can be found at https://www.madeevent.com/081204.html.

ARMIN VAN BUUREN comes off a strong year including critical acclaim and the release of his first artist album 76 (Ultra) - which received a 2004 DanceStar USA nomination for Best Artist Album - as well as his double disc compilation A STATE OF TRANCE 2004 on Ultra Records.
Inspired by his weekly national radio show in Holland, also known as 'A State of Trance,' the new compilation is defined by ARMIN's taste in warm, melodic driving music and includes his original track "Burned With Desire" featuring Justine Suissa* which recieved strong support on the No1 dance station in the U.S., WKTU in New York.

After his creation of the groundbreaking track "Blue Fear,' ARMIN - at the age of 19 - was directly credited for creating the blueprint track for the trance movement. A Sasha and Digweed staple, "Blue Fear' previewed ARMIN's signature style: divine layering of sounds and lush chords with a continuous driving beat.
In 1999, the success of ARMIN's "Communication' landed him a deal with AM:PM Records. Later that year, ARMIN formed his own label, Armind, and released "Eternity,' the wildly successful collaboration with Tiesto.
As ARMIN's marathon sets began garnering attention, he released the popular remixes of Madison Avenue's "Don't Call Me Baby' and Wamdue Project's "King of My Castle.'

Born in Leiden, Holland to a musical family, ARMIN indulged his passion for music from a young age, blowing all the money from his paper route on records. ARMIN states, "I loved dance music immediately - this great rebellious sound that was so different.'
Citing electro pioneer Jean Michel Jarre as a major influence as well as Dutch DJ and remixer Ben Liebrand, who would later mentor him in his mixing and producing, ARMIN began booking DJ sets and consistently producing standout tunes that graced compilations across the globe.

Besides his performance in New York, ARMIN VAN BUUREN will appear at a number of other prominent events this summer. In July, he'll headline the biggest outdoor event in the UK, Global Gathering, and he will perform an extra-long set in the ARMADA area (the name of his record company) during Holland's Dance Valley festival in August.
To top it off, ARMIN VAN BUUREN will headline his own night at AMNESIA in Ibiza on Tuesdays throughout the summer.
