The callers appear to be inspired by the diva's lyric, "call 489-4608 and I'll be here" in her hit song, "Diary".
Georgia residents who call the number reach a retired pastor who says he's had the same number for 14 years and doesn't intend to change now.
However, callers who dial the number with the New York area code of 347 actually hear a recorded message from Alicia herself.
