New York, NY (Top40 Charts/ Shore Fire Media) Marc Glosserman, Hill Country Hospitality founder, is pleased to announce the expansion of Hill Country Barbecue Market and Hill Country Chicken to downtown Brooklyn. Located at 345 Adams Street (at Willoughby Street) in an 11,000-square-foot former office space converted by Muss Development LLC to a retail/condo development, Hill Country Barbecue Market and Hill Country Chicken Brooklyn are scheduled to open in late fall 2013; the restaurants will be located adjacent to each other and across the street from Borough Hall.
Hill Country Barbecue Market and Hill Country Chicken Brooklyn will be sister restaurants to the flagship Manhattan locations, 30 West 26th Street (Barbecue) and 1123 Broadway (Chicken), as well as Hill Country Barbecue Market at 410 Seventh Street, NW, in Washington, D.C. Honoring the barbecue and live music capital of the Lone Star
State and inspired by the grand old meat-markets-turned-barbecue-joints of Central Texas, Hill Country Barbecue Market takes its cue from legendary Lockhart barbecue establishment Kreuz Market and its distinctive, dry-rub style. Hill Country Barbecue Market Brooklyn will also host live American roots music in the upstairs Boot Bar most nights of the week. Like its barbecue cousin, Hill Country Chicken honors the culinary traditions of the Central
Texas Hill Country, which is reflected in the cuisine, stylized décor, gracious hospitality, and counter-style service. Hill Country Chicken is an updated version of the classic American fried chicken joint, specializing in fried chicken, fresh-cut fries and homemade pies.
"We are thrilled to be opening a Hill Country Barbecue Market and Hill Country Chicken in downtown Brooklyn, and to be part of this dynamic borough's business and residential communities," says Glosserman. "It has been exciting to watch the emerging dining scene in many Brooklyn neighborhoods over the past several years, and we look forward to contributing to the growth of downtown."
"Downtown Brooklyn is a natural draw for world-class dining options," said Muss Development President Joshua L. Muss. "Adding a restaurant of this caliber to our roster of retail tenants at 345 Adams Street will elevate our property here and blend perfectly with the continued evolution of the entire neighborhood."
The Hill Country Hospitality restaurants will join neighboring Potbelly and Panera
Bread locations, as well as The Archives Bar at the New York Marriott at the Brooklyn Bridge and Shake Shack, which is located across the recently renovated pedestrian plaza along Adams Street and Willoughby Street, with added outdoor walking space and seating.
