MIAMI, FL. (The Recording Academy) - Among the first performers announced for the 5th Annual Latin GRAMMY Awards telecast are Bebo Valdes, Diego El Cigala, and Paulina Rubio and Roselyn Sanchez. Confirmed to present awards are Black Eyed Peas, Gael Garcia Bernal, radio personality Renan "El Cucuy" Coello, actor/comedian Cheech Marin, on-air personality Maria Menounos, "Without A Trace" star Enrique Murciano, from "Six Feet Under" Freddy Rodriguez and Brazilian singer and TV host Xuxa. The Latin music industry's premier event will take place on Sept. 1 at Shrine Auditorium in Los Angeles and will be broadcast on CBS from 8 – 10 p.m. (ET/PT).

With four Latin GRAMMY nominations, Bebo Valdes is up for Record Of The Year (Lagrimas Negras), Album Of The Year (Lagrimas Negras), Best Traditional Tropical Album (Lagrimas Negras) and Best Latin Jazz Album with Federico Britos (We Could Make Such Beautiful Music Together).

Diego El Cigala is currently nominated for three Latin GRAMMY Awards: Record Of The Year (Lagrimas Negras), Album Of The Year (Lagrimas Negras), and Best Traditional Tropical Album (Lagrimas Negras).

Paulina Rubio is nominated for Best Female Pop Vocal Album (Pau-Latina).

Roselyn Sanchez is nominated for Best Music Video (Amor Amor).

Presenting awards will be GRAMMY nominees Black Eyed Peas, one of People en Espanol 's 25 Most Beautiful People Gael Garcia Bernal, the No. 1 radio personality in Los Angeles from 97.9 KLAX Renan "El Cucuy" Coello, beloved actor and comedian Cheech Marin, host of "ET on MTV" Maria Menounos, "Without A Trace" star Enrique Murciano, from "Six Feet Under" Freddy Rodriguez and Brazilian singer and TV host Xuxa.

The 5th Annual Latin GRAMMY Awards telecast will be distributed internationally to more than 100 countries and will be supported on radio via Univision Radio and Westwood One International. Nominations for the 5th Annual Latin GRAMMY Awards were announced July 14 and a complete list of nominees is available online at GRAMMY.com and www.latingrammy.terra.com (the official online partner of the 5th Annual Latin GRAMMY Awards).

The 5th Annual Latin GRAMMY Awards are produced by Cossette Productions. Pierre and John Cossette are executive producers; Ken Ehrlich is producer; Walter Miller is producer/director; and Tisha Fein is coordinating producer.

The Latin Recording Academy is an international, membership-based organization comprised of Spanish- and Portuguese-speaking recording artists, musicians, songwriters, producers and other creative and technical recording professionals. The organization is dedicated to improving the quality of life and cultural condition for Latin music and its makers. In addition to producing the Latin GRAMMY Awards to honor excellence in the recorded arts and sciences, the Latin Recording Academy provides educational and outreach programs for the Latin music community.
