New York, NY (Top40 Charts/ Yamico Music) Twintapes is the brainchild of Pavel Rivera . The band's name stems from an incident Pavel had as a child. He lost his favorite mixed tape inside an old faulty cassette player. The fear of losing more of his favorite music prompted him to create copies of all of his tapes. These copies became known as his "twintapes." Twintapes credits many bands among their influences, but they are particularly moved by the work of Boards of Canada, Aphex Twin, Blonde Redhead and a plethora of 80s music.
