NEW YORK (Lava Records) - Punk rock, platinum poster boys Simple Plan are at it again -- making music that is. The quintet are feverishly putting the final touches on their long awaited, new album entitled "Still Not Getting Any..." scheduled for release on Lava Records on October 26, 2004.

Simple Plan are presently recording the follow up to their enormously successful debut "No Pads, No Helmets...Just Balls" in their hometown of Montreal with famed producer Bob Rock. Rock, best known for his work with Metallica, Motley Crue, Bon Jovi and the Cult, traveled to Montreal to record the band in their native surroundings, in order to capture the band's signature punk/pop sound.
"Bob Rock has made some of the most important records of the last fifteen years including Metallica's 'The Black Album' and Motley Crue's 'Doctor Feelgood,'" remarked Simple Plan's drummer Chuck Comeau. "These were records we loved and grew up listening to. It's a dream come true that he was willing to travel from Hawaii to Montreal to work with us and produce our new album."

Front man Pierre Bouvier agrees Bob Rock was the right choice to produce the band's highly anticipated follow up. "The main reason why we chose Bob was because we wanted to make sure our new album sounded closer to our live sound and that's exactly what we're achieving," adds the vocalist. "The new songs are a natural progression from our earlier album and we really pushed ourselves to write the best songs we could, both lyrically and musically."
"Still Not Getting Any..." shows a tremendous amount of musical growth for the quintet. The album features the undeniably catchy, hook-filled first single "Welcome To My Life." Although darker in nature than earlier SP tracks, "Welcome To My Life" speaks volumes to today's Gen-Y'ers. The album also features the anthemic, mid-tempo track "Crazy" whose lyrics tackle everything from reality TV to dysfunctional families while asking the question "Is Everybody Going Crazy / Is Anybody Gonna Save Me / Can Anybody Tell Me What's Going On," The song is the heir apparent to the band's live concert; cell-phone raising monster hit "Perfect" which was featured on their previous album.
The disc also includes the alternative leaning, guitar driven track "Perfect World" and the up-tempo, straight ahead Simple Plan track "Shut Up" which features a sing-a-long chorus like no other.

Simple Plan are scheduled to announce a US headline tour in support of their forthcoming album "Still Not Getting Any..." The highly anticipated tour is expected to kick off at the end of October and is expected to continue through much of 2005. Prior to the kickoff, Simple Plan will tour throughout Europe with Avril Lavigne.

Simple Plan are Pierre Bouvier (vocals), Chuck Comeau (drums), David Desrosiers (bass, backing vocals), Sebastien Lefebvre (guitar, backing vocals) and Jeff Stinco (lead guitar). The band's debut album "NO PADS, NO HELMETS...JUST BALLS," was released on Lava Records in 2002 and sold over 2 million albums and spawned several top 10 hits including "I'd Do Anything," "Addicted" and "Perfect." In addition, Simple Plan were honored in 2003 with a MTV Video Music Award nomination for Best New Artist and won the 2003 & 2004 MuchMusic People's Choice Award.
The band has also previously appeared on "The Tonight Show" with Jay Leno, "Late Night" with Conan O'Brien, "Jimmy Kimmel Live," the "Late Late Show" with Craig Kilborn, "Pepsi Smash" and a variety of MTV programming. For more up-to-date Simple Plan information go to www.simpleplan.com.
