New York, NY (Top40 Charts/ Shore Fire Media) Today, May 21, Carole King will become the first woman to receive the Gershwin Prize for Popular Song, presented by the Library of Congress. This evening the Library will host an all star tribute featuring Patti Austin, Colbie Caillat, Michael Feinstein, Siedah Garrett, Louise Goffin, Shelby Lynne, Gian Marco, Arturo Sandoval and a special performance by King. Tomorrow, Wednesday, May 22, The White House will honor Carole with remarks from President Obama and an all-star tribute including performances by Gloria Estefan, Billy Joel, James Taylor, Jesse McCartney, and Emeli Sandi. The program will be filed for "Carole King: The Library of Congress Gershwin Prize In Performance at the White House" airing on PBS on Tuesday, Msy 28 at 8pm ET.

Both the event at the Library of Congress (today at 7p.m. ET) and the White House (tomorrow at 7:15p.m. ET) will be livestreamed, available from the "In Performance at the White House" series website at pbs.org/whitehouse
