New York, NY (Top40 Charts/ Miami Herald) Flo Rida and Marc
Mysterio debut a new song on YouTube "Booty on the Floor", while
Mysterio sets his sights next on a collaboration with
Ke$ha and her mother, Pebe Sebert, on 'Who Got Milf'.
We remember Marc
Mysterio from his resurrection of Samantha Foxon his 2009 single 'Tomorrow (Is Another Day)', which landed on Sam's Greatest Hits album released just after her stint on ITV 1's 'I'm a Celebrity... Get Me Out of Here'.
Thereafter, punters will recall his live performance on BBC
Radio 1 with Judge Jules, as well as his successful 2010 lawsuit filed against
Brandy for flaking on a deal where she took the DJ's $10,000 and never sent along the vocals (author's note to label: Please change Norwood's Hit Title to 'The Boy's Money Is Mine').
Today is indeed 'another day' as
Flo Rida and Marc
Mysterio debut their new collaboration "Booty on the Floor" while
Mysterio sets his sights next on a collab with
Ke$ha and her mom, Pebe Sebert, 'Who Got Milf'.
As the story goes,
Flo Rida went looking north of the border for help on the track as Marc recently met with an exec at Flo Rida's Miami-based record label Poe Boy
Music Group and the fruit of that rendezvous is: 'Booty on the Floor by Marc
Mysterio featuring vocal samples from an unreleased song of Flo's 'Respirator'.
"It has that old school arrangement in that the production from Marc
Mysterio is what drives the song while Flo Rida's vocals, although limited, are perfect to complement it with a new school twist — a prime time smash anywhere on Collins!" said Damon Drummond, founder of EDM blog dubsteppers.org told the Miami Herald.
Bankok-based YouTube Tutting Star, Billy Chuchat, is featured in the promotional video, premiered on YouTube, strutting his stuff to the DJs From Mars remix -- its out of this world!
The extremely cathy hook of the tune goes, 'Black Girl put your Booty on the Floor' with a melodic piano arpeggio riff and contemporary electro sounds -- all the elements of a winner!
Marc
Mysterio tells Allvoices exclusively, "Jay Washington answered the phone when we cold-called Poe Boy to tell them my idea, and he was so open-minded that I can honestly say that its no surprise that
Flo Rida is so successful, since he not only listened but followed through on pushing Flo and Poe Boy boss E-Class to approve the song, and its dope".
However, this release is not just a professional accomplishment, but a personal one too which Marc confesses to having struggled with Alcoholism, "I just re-launched my twitter @marc_mysterio as I feel like I've hit the reset button on my life as I've quit drinking, re-connected with my family and got the people out of my life that just hung around to get cool gossip quips and use me for my contacts, but I now have a good balance of positive folks around me and look forward to the challenges and positive vibes ahead!"
Additionally, as first reported by the Miami Herald this weekend, Marc
Mysterio is moving his sound factory to Miami in the fall and says he wants to collaborate next with Sony
Music Label-Mate
Ke$ha and her mom Pebe Sebert, singer-songwriter best known for co-writing the number-one hit "Old
Flames Can't Hold a Candle to You" by country singer Dolly Parton. "I have a song I'm working on called Who Got Milf to see if Ke$ha, Pebe Sebert and I can vocal it together — to make light of the stereotype that mother's can't be sexy" laughs Mysterio.
Will it happen? Well,
Ke$ha did have a fling with DJ Calvin Harris, whom rushed the X-Factor stage with a Pineapple attached to his head during Jedward's Performance! Maybe her mom likes DJs too!
I can picture it now punters... Marc
Mysterio with
Ke$ha and her mom dressed in...
Second thought, maybe I'll just get my 'Booty On The Floor'!
