Singer-Songwriter Joel Rafael To Appear In "Woody Guthrie At 100! Live At Kennedy Center" PBS Special And On CD And DVD Being Released June 11th
New York, NY (Top40 Charts / Inside Recordings) Singer-songwriter and noted Woody Guthrie interpreter Joel Rafael spent much of 2012 participating in the "Woody At 100" events- a series of concerts, readings and festivities surrounding the centennial anniversary of Woody Guthrie's birth. The year of events concluded with a concert at Washington D.C.'s Kennedy Center and featured Rafael along with Rosanne Cash , John Mellencamp , Jackson Browne , Judy Collins and many more. Now on June 11th Sony Legacy will release Woody Guthrie at 100! Live At The Kennedy Center both as a CD and DVD. The release date will coincide with a PBS airing of the live concert event.

Joel Rafael will also continue to tour throughout the summer in support of his latest release America Come Home available now on Inside Recordings. America Come Home opens with a Rafael/ Guthrie co-write "Dance Around My Atom Fire" and also features David Crosby and Graham Nash . Tour highlights include several dates in Spain, a stop at the UK's legendary Glastonbury Festival and a return to the Woody Guthrie Folk Festival in Okemah, Oklahoma.

Joel Rafael has been writing and performing since 1978 and over the past decades has released a stunning collection of eight Americana albums. He has opened for acts such as Rick Danko , Emmylou Harris , John Lee Hooker , John Stewart , Laura Nyro and Taj Mahal . He has collaborated with artists such as Crosby, Stills & Nash, Jackson Browne and Rosie Flores .
