Tampa Rapper P. Kumlawdi Makes Major Plays With Latest Single "Touchdown"
Tampa, Fla. (Top40 Charts/ Urban Addiction Entertainment Group) Whether putting points on the board from major plays on the field or in the bedroom, Tampa, Fla. rapper P.Kumlawdi (pronounced cum laude) scores big with his latest crowd-pleasing single "Touchdown."

Produced by musical mastermind Trakman, the up-tempo club jam boasts a catchy hook and sports/sex metaphors atop thumping kick drums, slapping snaps and even referee whistles. This is the perfect for any sports bar, club or house party.

"I make music to have fun and put out a message for people to relate to," says P.Kumlawdi. "You can see my words as I say them. My words touch people. You can feel them when I play them."

Born in Tampa's infamous College Hill public housing projects, P. used sports as a way to escape his destitute situation. He landed a football scholarship to college and during his senior year, he began writing raps to pass the time. His roommate used to sing so one day, P asked him to write a song together. That one record turned into an entire mixtape.

Although the mixtape garnered much respect around campus, he had to put music to the side to concentrate on sports. He was eventually drafted into the NFL but still wrote rhymes in his spare time.

For three years straight, P perfected his craft and won several talent shows around town. In April 2012, he dropped his first official mixtape The Miseduction of P.Kumlawdi hosted by DJ Headbussa. The mixtape single "7 Grams" got a lot of good responses from a video posted on WorldStarHipHop.com.

Now his is set to release his forthcoming mixtape Intent to Sell due late July and "Touchdown" is just a precursor for the stockpile of hits to come on P.'s upcoming collection of heart-stopping heat rocks.

With other gems like "Gorgeous," and the soon-to-be-released Tampa Bay Bucs remix of "Touchdown," P.Kumlawdi is sure to be at the top of the any DJs roster.

"I am what you call an artist, not a rapper. I paint pictures," P. contends. "I want to bring that originality to where it's ok to be yourself."
