Shawn Anthony To Release 10th Anniversary Album, King Slayer
Los Angeles, CA (Top40 Charts/ MMCA) MMCA announces that the agency's client, Baton Rouge, Louisiana recording artist, world traveler and HBO hit series Entourage's favorite rapper (with over 10 songs featured on the show throughout the seasons), Shawn Anthony, continues to brighten his light in the pop and hip hop world with his soon to be released 10th Anniversary album, King Slayer, on his own Akseann Records. The 10-track recording represents a significant musical leap for this most slept-on emcee, who has been working full speed ahead on his music during the last few years. The album is set to release on July 16, 2013.

"I'm still talking about life in the inner city, but I've come a long way since my days on the streets of South Baton Rouge," says Anthony. "And this is clearly reflected in King Slayer. It's my most provocative album to date, and the vision is broader."

Anthony's intent for the album was to present a more contrite and conscientious perspective about the life he had been describing in his previous works. "It's more of a reflection of why I made the decisions I've made. King Slayer is an in-depth look at how I came to be the person I am today," he stated. Anthony's career has been widely supported by other artists in the music industry, such as Pharrell Williams, Wyclef Jean, DJ Quik, DJ Felli Fel, The Game and David Banner.
