Salt Lake City, UT (Top40 Charts/ Gigg) Gigg announced today that it will partner with international superstar Jay Sean to create a music contest on its site. Competitors will write and record their own original, creative cover version of Jay Sean's hit track "Mars" and submit videos for votes on Gigg.com.

"I've always loved to scour the Internet to see the covers that people were doing of my songs. I'm amazed at the different styles and flavors that people can add," says Jay Sean. "So my team and I came up with this idea because we thought 'Mars' would be the perfect song for it, really pushing people to go out of the box with ideas."
Jay Sean will participate in the voting process along with Gigg judges and the general public. The grand prize winner will be awarded a studio session with Jay Sean in either London, New York, or Los Angeles where he or she will professionally record the winning track.
