New York, NY (Top40 Charts/ Missing Piece Group) Canada's Old Man Luedecke announces his Fall US tour dates, which include the Bristol Rhythm &
Roots Reunion and the prestigious Mountain Stage. The Mountain Stage performance will be recorded in Johnson City, Tennessee to air later in the year on nearly 150 NPR stations and overseas on the Voice of America.
Old Man Luedecke continues to tour behind his Juno nominated album, Tender Is The Night, recorded in Nashville with Grammy winning producer Tim O'Brien and released last year to much critical acclaim via True North Records. Exclaim Magazine raved "Beneath the sheer delight that spills from Luedecke's upbeat banjo licks lurks more of the songwriter's superb lyricism, filled with vulnerability and vibrant language" and The
National Post heralded it as "his most joyous album yet." A songwriter whose skills have seen him compared with idols like
Paul Simon and others; Luedecke is far more than an insanely talented musician. One bit of proof is his performance of "Tender Is The Night" on Southern Souls Sessions here.
Chris "
Old Man" Luedecke is known for his charm and ability to engage an audience with just his songs and his banjo. A recent live review from AUX reported, "Old Man Luedecke filled the Barney Danson Theatre, an indoor venue, to capacity. Then proceeded to charm the living shit out of everyone on hand. Accompanied only by a mandolin, the Halifax banjo dude had the audience in the palm of his hand."
