Cash Money Records Statement Regarding 2013 Post-VMA Party Cancellation
New York, NY (Top40 Charts/ Cash Money Records) CASH MONEY RECORDS would like to issue the following formal statement in regards to the cancellation of the label's 2013 Post-VMA Party benefitting the American Diabetes Association which was originally planned for August 25, 2013 at Skylight One Hanson in Brooklyn, NY directly following the evening's ceremony.

Due to the overwhelming response received and the ensuing capacity issues and, moreover, out of concern for the safety of our fans and guests planning on attending, CASH MONEY RECORDS and YOUNG MONEY ENTERTAINMENT believed it would be more prudent to regretfully cancel the event. Shortly after the party was announced, the incredible reaction from ticket-buyers, guests, and artists brought the final count of attendees above and beyond capacity allowed. Keeping safety for all in highest regard, the party has been officially cancelled.

CASH MONEY RECORDS attorney Vernon Brown comments, "First and foremost, CASH MONEY RECORDS values the well-being of everyone who supports the label. As the event became overcapacity, our emphasis once again turned to that well-being and it was deemed necessary to cancel."

Co-Founder and C.E.O. Ronald "Slim" Williams says, "We were personally looking forward to this event more than anybody. It was a chance to not only get together and celebrate, but it was an important opportunity to give back to the American Diabetes Association. We want to extend our sincerest apologies and thank everyone for their continued support and understanding. We're here because of you, and your safety is the most important thing in the world to us."

Co-Founder and C.E.O. Bryan "Birdman" Williams states, "We thank everyone for their continued interest and support and hope to return at a future date so that we can party with a purpose with our fans."
