Hollywood" online at https://snd.sc/13AfmAe from his upcoming "I Get Even" EP. The album is set for an October 1st release date through Mickey Avalon's own label Rag Top Records. The album will feature two different covers, one for the digital version and another on the physical version, featuring a photo of Avalon punching a security guard in the face. The controversial image was captured during a Mickey Avalon performance on the Blazed and Confused tour with Snoop Dogg.
"When I heard Jay Z and Alicia Keys' song about New York, I knew I wanted to write one about where I came from. I could've done a song about Los Angeles, since that's where I was born and raised, but Hollywood is a loaded word that has a lot more meaning than just a town," says Avalon. "As a kid, me and my dad would walk up and down Hollywood Blvd, and now, as a musician, I'd say, I'm part of the industry of Hollywood. I hit up my boy
Paul Oakenfold to produce the song, and told him my idea. I went into his studio, and he had nailed the beat, and then I just started writing all the imagery that I could come up with, about Hollywood. I hope you like it."
Mickey Avalon's "I Get Even" EP is another sordid tale of rock 'n' roll debauchery that could only come from Hollywood's most notorious emcee. The effort will feature five previously unreleased tracks that capture Avalon's intense rhymes and raw honesty on tape for the world to hear.
