MONDAY, SEPT. 2 - Snarky Puppy, the Denton, TX fusion collective -- whose Grammy-winning members have performed with Snoop Dogg, Erykah Badu and Kirk Franklin -- take the stage (show: 8 pm, admission: $10 - more info).

WEDNESDAYS, SEPT. 4, SEPT. 11, SEPT. 18, SEPT. 25 — Turkuaz, the 10-piece, Brooklyn-based funk army kicks off a 4-week residency at Brooklyn Bowl on September 4th, performing alongside Jimkata and Aqueous (shows: 8 pm, admission: $10, $30 for four-night pass - more info).

THURSDAY, SEPT. 5, FRIDAY, SEPT. 6, SATURDAY, SEPT. 7 — Leeds imports The New Mastersounds bring their blend of funk, rock, soul and dance -- described as sounding like "Grant Green and Lou Donaldson having a fight in a Hammond Organ shop while James Brown holds the coats" -- to Williamsburg for a 3-night run (shows: 9 pm, admission: $15, $40 for three-night pass - more info).

SATURDAY, SEPT. 14 — My Morning Jacket's Patrick Hallahan and Brooklyn Bowl take part in the Taste Talks Food & Drink Conference with an all you can eat breakfast of Pancakes, Blue Ribbon fried chicken, and Hallahan's pulled pork.
