Patricia Richey Releases Debut Self-Titled EP
New York, NY (Top40 Charts) The singer and songwriter known as Patricia Richey has released her debut, self-titled EP record, "Patricia Richey," to excellent early reviews. The EP boasts six tracks for an approximate total playing time of nearly 25 minutes. Proclaimed by the singer to be an album performed in her own "country-alternative" style, the "Patricia Richey" EP is also billed as pop and adult contemporary music on certain online outlets. A feminine and angelic-sounding record filled with Celtic and American-country flavors, Richey's freshman release is turning heads all the world over, and for good reason.

Richey's EP primarily showcases the transcendent, soaring vocals of Patricia Richey, herself. Her singing is gilt with the sonorous scales often heard in fine Irish traditional ballads, and is delivered with a natural grace and beauty that bespeaks her innate feel for the music. The music itself includes songs written by supremely lauded and popular artists, such as Sting and Taylor Swift. In addition, Richey's EP has been released with a corresponding official music video for her rendition of Swift's "Safe and Sound."

Richey names as main artistic influences a wide variety of artists.
"In terms of performing, I love Stevie Nicks," she says. "I also really love contemporary country like Taylor Swift and Carrie Underwood, and alternative music like Grace Potter, Mumford & Sons, and Lana Del Rey."

Having been recorded at the famous Nashville studio originally constructed by Marty Robbins, Omni Sound Studios, her album includes work by such geniuses as Pat McGrath, Brad Benge, Brain Pruitt, Shawn Fichter, James Mitchell, Jim Hyatt, and Jeff Roach, all artists of the highest degree in the burgeoning Nashville music scene.

Patricia Richey's Celtic overtones come from both a familial and national heritage. Her maternal grandfather having emigrated to the United States from Ireland, Richey holds a dual citizenship and is an active member of both cultures.

The "Patricia Richey" EP, by Patricia Richey, is available online worldwide.

The EP "Patricia Richey" is distributed globally by MondoTunes (www.MondoTunes.com) and is available at iTunes or www.top40-charts.com for convenient purchase and download.
